We want you to feel confident in every Tusk & Trout piece you choose. If something isn’t quite right, our returns process is designed to be clear, simple, and supportive.
All returns must be lodged through our Returns Portal. Before submitting a return, please take a moment to read the information below to ensure your item is eligible.
You have 30 days from the date your parcel is delivered to lodge and send back your return.
How Returns Work
We accept returns on all items within 30 days of delivery, provided they are:
- Unused and in original condition
- Returned with all original tags attached
- Suitable for resale
Returns that are worn, used, incomplete, or not in original condition may be declined.
Returns & Shipping Protection (Checkout+)
At checkout, you may have the option to add Prepaid Return Shipping (Checkout+).
This allows you to cover the cost of return shipping upfront, so you don’t need to pay for postage later if you decide to return or exchange an item.
If you add Checkout+
- Your return shipping label is covered and ready to use
- No additional return postage costs will apply
If you do not add Checkout+
- Returns are still available
- Return shipping costs will apply at the time of return
- A return processing fee of $2.40 will also apply
Checkout+ is optional and is a service add-on, not a physical product. It is non-refundable once purchased.
Faulty, damaged, or incorrect items are always covered at no cost to you.
How to Return Your Order
To start a return, visit our Returns Portal and follow the steps below:

Enter your order details
Log in using your order number and email address. -
Select the item(s) you’re returning
Choose your return reason and preferred return option (refund, exchange, or store credit). -
Generate your return label
Print your label at home or use the digital QR code provided (no printer required). -
Pack your items securely
Place the item(s) back in their original packaging where possible, ensuring all tags are attached. -
Drop off your return
Take your parcel to your nearest Australia Post location.

Enter your order details
Once your return is received and inspected, we’ll process it in line with this policy. You’ll be notified as soon as your return is complete.
Return Options Available
Refund to Original Payment Method
Refunds are issued back to your original payment method once your return is received and approved.
If you did not purchase Checkout+, an Australia Post return label can be purchased via the Returns Portal.
Please note:
- Original shipping fees are not refundable
Store Credit
Receive online store credit issued as a digital code.
If you did not purchase Checkout+, an Australia Post return label can be purchased via the Returns Portal.
If your order was paid using a combination of store credit and card or Afterpay, the store credit portion will always be refunded first, followed by the remaining payment method.
Sale Items
Sale items are eligible for:
- Exchange
- Online store credit
Refunds are not available on sale items unless the item is faulty or incorrect.
Exchanges
Please keep the following in mind when requesting an exchange:
- Once an exchange has been processed, the exchanged item cannot be refunded for change-of-mind. It will be eligible for store credit only.
- Exchanges are subject to stock availability when your return is received and processed
- If your requested exchange is unavailable, you’ll automatically receive store credit
- Exchanges are limited to a different size or variant of the same product/style
If you’re unsure about sizing, store credit can be the most flexible option.
Promotional Sale Periods
Items purchased during promotional periods follow our standard returns policy.
Full-priced items purchased with a discount code remain eligible for refund, exchange, or store credit, provided the return is lodged within 30 days.
Online Orders Only
Tusk & Trout is an online-only brand. All returns must be submitted through our Returns Portal. We do not offer in-person returns or exchanges.
Incorrect or Damaged Items
If you’ve received an incorrect or faulty item, please lodge your return through the Returns Portal and select the appropriate reason.
All faulty items are assessed in line with Australian Consumer Law.
Online Store Credit
- Issued as a digital discount code
- Valid for 12 months from the date of issue
- Redeemable online only and not exchangeable for cash
- Items purchased with store credit can only be returned for store credit
Once store credit has been issued, it cannot be reversed.
Return Postage
- If you purchased Checkout+, return shipping is covered
- If you did not purchase Checkout+, return shipping costs will apply
- A return processing fee of $2.40 applies to change-of-mind returns without Checkout+
- Return shipping costs are displayed during the return process
We recommend using the Australia Post service provided via the Returns Portal.
Tusk & Trout is not responsible for parcels lost, damaged, or delayed in transit.
Returning Multiple Items
If you’re returning multiple items from the same order, all items must be sent back together.
Once a return request has been submitted and approved, additional items cannot be added.
Return Conditions & Processing Time
To be eligible for a return, items must:
- Be lodged within 30 days of delivery
- Be unworn, unwashed, unaltered, and in original condition
- Have all original tags attached
Please include your return slip and clearly write your name and order number to avoid delays.
You have 24 hours after submitting your return request to make changes.
Once your return is received and inspected, please allow up to 10 business days for processing.
